FAQ
How do I authenticate?
Send your key in the
x-api-key header on every request. That's all — no OAuth, no signing.Can I call it from the browser?
Technically yes, but your key would be visible to anyone using DevTools. Prefer a server‑side call or a small proxy (see the Cloudflare Worker example). If you must, bind the key to your domain in My Account → API.
What are the rate limits?
Your plan sets a per‑minute and per‑day cap; both are shown as
X-RateLimit-* / X-Usage-Day headers. Exceeding them returns 429. Cache results (date + city is stable) to stay comfortably within quota.Which timezone are the values in?
Times are IST (Asia/Kolkata), returned as JD + ISO + a formatted IST string. The panchang day is sunrise‑anchored, so pass the location's latitude/longitude.
How accurate is it?
Sun and Moon ≈ ±2 minutes; planets (Mercury–Saturn) ≈ ±0.1°. Ayanamsa is Lahiri. Suitable for daily panchang and muhurta reference.
Which features are included?
Panchang, planetary positions, hora, choghadiya, rahu/yama/gulik, world panchang, Hindu calendar & samvat, vrat & festival calendars, muhurat search, eclipses with sutak, panchak/bhadra/gandmool, sade‑sati, kundali D1/D9, ashtakoota matching, Vimshottari dasha, naam akshar, Mangal & Kala Sarpa dosha, numerology, and daily horoscope. Available tools depend on your plan.
Can I use it on multiple websites?
Each key can be bound to one allowed domain (or left open as
*). Need several sites? Buy additional keys or ask us about a multi‑domain plan.Is there a free tier or trial?
We offer a limited free tier for evaluation and a short trial on paid plans. Contact us or check the store for current offers.
What if my key leaks?
Contact us to rotate it — the old key is revoked immediately. You can also regenerate from My Account → API where available.
Do I have to give attribution?
Not required for the API itself. If you use our white‑label UI, keep the footer credit unless your plan removes it.
Do you offer an SLA / uptime guarantee?
The service runs on redundant infra with Cloudflare in front. Enterprise plans can include a written SLA and priority support — ask us.
How do I get a key?
Create an account and choose a plan in our store; your key is issued instantly and shows under My Account → API. For custom needs, contact us.
